Grade 12 Students
Grade 12’s are reminded to sign up for Grad Photo Appointments today, today is the last day! Sign up sheet is by the Year Book Office.
Grad BBQ is today in Brudenell. All students must travel by bus. Busses will be leaving after A Block at 10:30 am. All grade 12 students are required to attend regular A block classes this morning.
Readers Circle will begin Friday in library Seminar room A, room 106 at 1205pm. All are welcome to attend. Feel free to bring your lunch. Please see Mrs. Killeen for more details if you are interested but cannot attend.
CSLC students are to meet in room 139 at 12:00 on Friday.
Disney Choir begins next Thursday at 3:30 pm.
SADD meeting is Tuesday, September 19 at 12:05 in Library conference room 111. Tuesdays will be our meeting day! Members are asked to please research some SADD activities that are happening in other schools and provinces, as discussed

Cross Country Running

Grade 11 & 12 Students:
One lucky applicant from PEI will be chosen to attend the “National Youth Engagement Week” at the RCMP Academy, located in Regina Saskatchewan from November 6-10th, 2017. This is a great opportunity for those grade 11 or 12 students who are curious about law enforcement and want to see and experience a week of what training looks like, as well as getting an overview of the RCMP. The selection of the students will be based on their academic achievement, community engagement and interest in law enforcement. For more information or to get an application see Ms. Heather Lea-Desai in student services. The deadline to apply is September 22nd, 2017.
Peer Tutors are needed to help out their fellow students. Peer tutors receive community service bursary hours for this work. If you are interested in making some money for your future studies and would like to help out your fellow students, come on out to Learning Centre B and see Ms. Beck.
Any music Students interested in Jazz Band, 1st rehearsal will be next Wed.,Sept. 20th, after school.
There will be a brief but important meeting of those students interested in volunteering for the Breakfast Club on Friday, Sept. 15 at 12 Noon in Ms. A’s Office.
This meeting is for all who have indicated that they have signed up, but for new recruits as well! The more help we have the better!

Legislative Assembly Page Program Due date is September 29th, 2017.
- Must be either grade 11 or 12 honours student
- Interest in the Legislative Assembly and public affairs
- No previous experience working as a Page
- 5-8 hours/week
- Students must place a priority on their responsibilities to the Legislature
- Financial compensation: The rate of pay is $15.83 per hour, plus round trip mileage to Charlottetown from their place of residence at the prevailing civil service rates if they are providing their own transportation.
What do Pages do? You will be responsible for the delivery of documents within the Chamber, the Hon. George Coles Building and the Legislative Annex; serving refreshments; photocopying and other responsibilities as assigned by the Speaker or the Clerks.
