It’s a “D-C” Day!

Congratulations to Celina McGuigan and Kyla White for representing MRHS in the Wits and Words Poetry Slam last night in Charlottetown.

Congratulations to Paige Miller who won a “Vimy to Ottawa” once in a life-time trip recently in a competition for her ideas to make her community better. Next month, Paige and another student from Kinkora head to Ottawa to receive mentorship from community leaders, including Senators and MPs, who will help make their ideas a reality.

  • Senior Mixed Doubles: Dan Martell/Grace Gormley 

Today’s Highlights:

  • Prom Committee is meeting today at 12 in the Library Conference Room.
  • Today in the Cafeteria: Chicken teriyaki served with rice and side veggies, grilled cheese on texas toast, Mexican pizza, chicken Caesar salad wraps.
  • Applications for Encounters for Canada are due today in Student Services.
  • Student Council is having a Much Music Dance on Thursday, May 4.  Tickets will be on sale until Tuesday, May 2.  Cost is $8. 

Athletics:

  • Basketball Intramural Playoffs Today: Teachers vs Team 3’s. Next game is on Monday when the losers of games 3 and 4 play for Bronze.
  • Tonight Zones Badminton action is at Charlottetown Rural  (Juvenile Boys and Girls Doubles): Morgan Jardine/Arika Pollard; Katie Mahar/Gracie Lavardier; Colin Curran/Cam White.
  • Ball Hockey starts next week. Stay tuned for further information!
